Responsibility
- Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight) to detect potential threats.
- Investigate and analyze security breaches, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities to determine root causes.
- Respond to cybersecurity incidents by following established protocols and escalating issues as needed.
- Conduct threat intelligence research to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and improve security measures and policies.
- Generate detailed incident reports and documentation for management and compliance purposes.
- Assist in the development and refinement of SOC procedures, playbooks, and response strategies.
- Participate in regular security training and awareness programs to enhance team knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or IT security role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security technologies, and cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Experience with SIEM tools, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability assessment tools.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in shifts and respond to security incidents outside of regular business hours.
