Responsibility
- Design, configure, and implement SAP DMS solutions tailored to client requirements, ensuring seamless integration with existing SAP modules (e.g., SAP ERP, S/4HANA).
- Lead end-to-end document management workflows, including metadata structuring, version control, and retention policies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze gaps, and propose scalable SAP DMS solutions.
- Develop and execute migration strategies for legacy document systems to SAP DMS, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Provide training and support to end-users and IT teams on SAP DMS functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Optimize system performance by monitoring, tuning, and resolving issues related to document storage, retrieval, and archiving.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP DMS trends, including cloud-based solutions (e.g., SAP Document Management Service on BTP) and AI-driven automation.
- Prepare and present technical and functional documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and process flows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP DMS implementation, configuration, and support.
- Proven expertise in SAP ERP, S/4HANA, or SAP ILM with a focus on document management, records management, or content server integration.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ArchiveLink, OpenText, or other third-party DMS integrations.
- Experience with ABAP debugging, custom reports, or enhancements related to SAP DMS is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud-based document management systems (e.g., SAP DMS on BTP, SharePoint, or OpenText Extended ECM) is a plus.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English (written and verbal).
