Responsibility
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding on various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) with precision and efficiency.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to verify dimensional accuracy, strength, and adherence to specifications.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, including cutting torches, grinders, and plasma cutters, ensuring safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to plan and execute welding tasks for custom or large-scale projects.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper use of PPE (helmets, gloves, aprons) and adherence to OSHA/industry standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Document work progress, materials used, and any deviations from project plans for quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Welder in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME, or local equivalents) is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
- Strong understanding of metal properties, heat treatment, and distortion control.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in standing, bending, or confined positions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for high-precision work.
