Responsibility
- Interpret and execute welding and fabrication tasks based on technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components with precision and durability.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Inspect finished welds and fabricated parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards (e.g., AWS, ISO).
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize fabrication processes.
- Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, fire prevention, and hazard identification.
- Assist in the development of prototypes and custom metal structures for client-specific projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace to support productivity and workflow.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder and Fabricator, with expertise in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Familiarity with metal properties, cutting techniques (plasma, oxy-fuel), and fabrication tools (grinders, drills, shears).
- Strong understanding of welding standards (AWS, ISO) and quality control procedures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various positions.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, CSWIP) or vocational training in metal fabrication is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure precision in every project.
