KK Super Mart, one of Malaysia’s leading convenience store chains, is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team in Shah Alam, Sekyen U3. As a vital member of our store team, you will ensure our customers receive excellent service while maintaining the store’s high standards of cleanliness and product availability.
This role is ideal for students, individuals seeking supplementary income, or those looking to jumpstart their career in the retail industry. You will gain hands-on experience in point-of-sale operations, inventory management, and customer engagement, all while working with a friendly team in a reputable company.
Responsibility
- Provide friendly, efficient service to all customers and assist with inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process payments and handle cash transactions.
- Restock merchandise on shelves and ensure inventory displays are tidy and well-organized.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic store environment, including sweeping, mopping, and shelf cleaning.
- Monitor product expiry dates and ensure the 'first-in, first-out' (FIFO) stock rotation system.
- Handle product promotions and price tag updates in accordance with company marketing campaigns.
- Support store opening and closing procedures as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum SPM qualification or equivalent; fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Basic command of Bahasa Malaysia and English; the ability to speak other local dialects is a plus.
- Possess a high level of integrity and reliability.
- Physically fit to handle store operations, including standing for extended periods and lifting inventory boxes.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.
