Join HR Focus as a Shipping Executive (Trading) and play a pivotal role in managing import and export operations for our dynamic trading business. Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end shipping operations, including import/export documentation, customs clearance, and freight coordination.
- Prepare and verify shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping lines to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Handle Letter of Credit (LC) transactions, ensuring compliance with banking and trade regulations.
- Monitor shipment statuses, resolve delays, and communicate updates to internal teams and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Stay updated on international trade laws, tariffs, and shipping regulations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or trade compliance.
- Proficient in handling import/export documentation and LC transactions.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP or logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
