Responsibility

  • Process and verify import/export documentation (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists) to ensure compliance with customs regulations.
  • Coordinate freight bookings with carriers, agents, and warehouses, optimizing routes and costs for air, sea, or land shipments.
  • Liaise with overseas agents and vendors to track shipments, resolve delays, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Prepare and issue competitive quotations for clients, including freight rates, duties, and additional service fees.
  • Handle customer enquiries professionally, providing real-time updates on shipment status, documentation, and logistics solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and communications using ERP or logistics software.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve service efficiency.
  • Monitor industry trends, tariff changes, and regulatory updates to advise clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, shipping, or logistics, preferably in import/export operations.
  • Strong knowledge of incoterms, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with logistics management systems (e.g., CargoWise, FreightOS).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach to handle inquiries and disputes.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related fields is a plus.
  • Prior experience in sales support or client relations within the logistics sector is advantageous.
