Responsibility
- Coordinate and monitor import shipments from origin to destination, ensuring adherence to schedules and compliance with regulations.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
- Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Ensure timely customs clearance by verifying documentation accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Track shipments in real-time and provide updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Optimize shipping routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, delays, and resolutions for reporting and auditing purposes.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to align shipping schedules with operational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or customs clearance.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Proficient in logistics software (e.g., ERP, TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing or transport industry is highly desirable.
