Responsibility
- Coordinate and schedule daily inbound and outbound shipping activities with local and international carriers.
- Prepare, process, and audit essential shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments.
- Monitor shipment status and provide real-time updates to the sales and procurement teams.
- Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and company policies.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to verify cargo readiness and optimize container loading schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of freight costs and shipping logs for monthly reporting.
- Resolve any delivery discrepancies or shipping damages by working with insurance providers and carriers.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in shipping coordination or freight forwarding operations.
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms 2020 and international shipping procedures.
- Proficiency in Logistics Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate with vendors and carriers.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
- Familiarity with Singapore customs regulations and TradeNet is highly advantageous.
