Responsibility
- Monitor and operate water treatment systems during assigned shifts to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and control systems to prevent downtime and ensure system reliability.
- Respond promptly to equipment alarms, malfunctions, or emergencies, and take corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
- Record and report operational data, including system performance metrics, water quality parameters, and maintenance activities, using digital tracking tools.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other technicians to implement process improvements and optimize system efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements, including proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new water treatment equipment and technologies.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff or operators as needed to enhance team performance.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a technical role, preferably in water treatment, wastewater management, or industrial maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems used in water treatment processes.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, SCADA, and digital monitoring tools is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) to collaborate with a diverse team.
- Certification in water treatment operations (e.g., WQA, AWWA) or safety training (e.g., OSHA, HAZMAT) is advantageous.
