Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate electrical shift operations to ensure uninterrupted production and system stability.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems, transformers, and switchgear.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Lead a team of technicians during shifts, providing guidance and resolving technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC).
- Prepare and submit shift reports, including incident logs, maintenance activities, and system performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute electrical upgrades or repairs.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and implement corrective actions to restore operations swiftly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; professional certification (e.g., P.Eng, CEng) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 2 years in a shift-based or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, PLCs, and industrial automation.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with safety protocols (e.g., LOTO, arc flash) and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
