Responsibility
- Greet and seat guests with a warm, professional demeanor, ensuring a welcoming first impression.
- Take and accurately relay customer orders, including dietary preferences or special requests, to the kitchen team.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to presentation standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the restaurant before and after service hours.
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently using POS systems, providing accurate receipts and change.
- Educate guests about menu items, including soup curry varieties, ingredients, and pairing recommendations.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and address any guest concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (restaurant, café, or hospitality preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; basic Japanese is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in order accuracy and presentation.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/carry trays or supplies (up to 10 kg).
- Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and guest service.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (training provided).
