Responsibility
- Provide exceptional customer service with a warm, professional, and attentive approach, embodying Japanese hospitality principles.
- Greet, seat, and assist guests with menu selections, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.
- Take and accurately relay orders to the kitchen, while coordinating with the team to ensure timely service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing dining area, including table settings, utensils, and decor.
- Handle payments, process transactions, and manage reservations or walk-in guests efficiently.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations before and after shifts.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and courteously.
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (e.g., restaurant, hotel, or retail) is preferred but not required—training will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English; knowledge of Japanese or other languages is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high service standards.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant’s operating hours.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move items up to 10 kg.
- A passion for hospitality and a desire to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling is advantageous.
