Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end development of custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Design and implement responsive, pixel-perfect UIs that align with client branding and UX best practices.
- Optimize website speed, SEO, and accessibility to maximize organic traffic and user engagement.
- Collaborate with designers, content creators, and project managers to deliver high-impact digital solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex WordPress issues, including theme conflicts, plugin compatibility, and database optimization.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on best practices for WordPress development.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies (e.g., Gutenberg, Headless WordPress, React) and integrate them into projects.
- Manage client expectations through clear communication, progress updates, and post-launch support.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom themes/plugins.
- Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery, with experience in modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue).
- Expertise in WordPress CMS, including WooCommerce, ACF, and page builders (Elementor, Divi).
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and ability to translate designs (Figma/Adobe XD) into functional code.
- Experience with SEO optimization, performance tuning (caching, CDN, lazy loading), and security hardening.
- Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for collaborative development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent English communication skills for client-facing interactions.
