Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of water treatment equipment, ensuring compliance with SEMI S2/S8 standards and other industry regulations.
- Optimize UPW system performance through data analysis, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, facility managers, and external vendors, to deliver high-purity water solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system schematics, P&IDs, and operational manuals.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on UPW best practices and emerging technologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes to drive innovation in water treatment solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in UPW system design, semiconductor facility engineering, or water treatment for high-tech industries.
- Proficiency in water treatment design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Aspen, or equivalent) and simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange, ultrafiltration, and degasification technologies.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage budgets and timelines.
- Familiarity with SEMI, ISO, and cGMP standards for semiconductor and high-purity water applications.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills in a global, fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, installations, or client meetings.
