Responsibility
- Oversee and manage all taxation activities to ensure compliance with Indonesian tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate and timely tax returns, reports, and filings to relevant tax authorities.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while minimizing risks and liabilities.
- Conduct tax research and analysis to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, providing recommendations to management as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure tax compliance across all business activities.
- Assist in tax audits and investigations, liaising with external tax advisors and authorities to resolve any issues.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff on tax-related matters and best practices.
- Monitor and report on tax risks, ensuring proactive measures are taken to address potential issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or Brevet Pajak) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance, tax planning, or a related role, preferably in a multinational company or Big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax.
- Experience with tax software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing tax documents and reports.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a strong advantage.
