Responsibility
- Develop and review detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures for complex steel structures.
- Create accurate shop drawings and fabrication documents in compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of steel components into overall project designs.
- Perform steel estimating tasks to support cost analysis and material procurement.
- Mentor and train junior detailers and team members on best practices in steel detailing and Tekla software.
- Conduct quality checks on all drawings and models to ensure precision and adherence to project requirements.
- Coordinate with fabrication teams to address any discrepancies or clarifications needed during the production phase.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in steel detailing technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Steel Detailer, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures (Tekla Xsteel) is mandatory; experience with other CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of steel construction standards, including AISC, Eurocodes, or other relevant codes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy in all deliverables.
- Proven experience in steel estimating and material takeoffs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
