Responsibility
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs, laboratory results, and response to treatments, and report any changes to the medical team.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and other treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment, such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, helping them understand treatment plans and recovery processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with advancements in critical care nursing.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid Nursing License from the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in ICU or critical care nursing.
- Strong clinical skills, including proficiency in patient assessment, emergency response, and advanced life support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
