Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and testing of complex electrical systems, circuits, and PCBs for industrial, automotive, or consumer applications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical research to evaluate new system ideas, materials, and components.
- Create and review schematics, layouts, and BOMs using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, OrCAD).
- Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical subsystems.
- Perform simulation, prototyping, and validation to verify design performance, reliability, and compliance with standards (e.g., IEC, UL, ISO).
- Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, and scalability while maintaining high-quality benchmarks.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices in electrical design.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, power electronics, high-speed signaling) and recommend innovations to enhance product competitiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; PE license is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in electrical design, with a focus on PCB design, power distribution, or embedded systems.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (Altium Designer, KiCad, Mentor Graphics) and simulation software (SPICE, PSpice).
- Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, signal integrity, EMC/EMI compliance, and DFM principles.
- Experience with high-power systems, motor controls, or renewable energy applications is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IPC, RoHS, CE, FCC) and testing methodologies (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
