Responsibility
- Design and architect scalable, cloud-native solutions for application modernisation projects.
- Lead full-stack development teams in adopting modern frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, serverless).
- Drive DevSecOps practices, ensuring security, compliance, and automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals and KPIs.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, edge computing) to enhance application performance.
- Mentor developers and engineers on best practices in software architecture and cloud adoption.
- Optimise legacy systems for cost efficiency, performance, and reliability in cloud environments.
- Document architectural decisions, standards, and guidelines for internal teams.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with 5+ years in solution architecture or technical leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modernisation strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, refactoring).
- Hands-on experience with microservices, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, .NET, Node.js) and API design (REST, GraphQL).
- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, Kubernetes CKAD/CKA) are a plus.
- Experience working in agile/Scrum environments and leading cross-functional teams.
