Responsibility
- Architect and evolve our microservices platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability to support global client demands.
- Lead by example through hands-on coding, code reviews, and technical mentorship to elevate engineering standards across the team.
- Drive technical strategy for cloud-native development, including Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless architectures, to optimize performance and cost.
- Collaborate with product and DevOps teams to design CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and enhance observability (logging, monitoring, tracing).
- Unblock engineers at the code level by debugging complex issues, optimizing queries, and resolving bottlenecks in distributed systems.
- Foster a culture of innovation by promoting best practices in software design, testing, and documentation, while encouraging experimentation and learning.
- Align engineering efforts with business goals, translating product requirements into technical roadmaps and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Champion security and compliance by implementing robust authentication, authorization, and data protection measures in all systems.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role, preferably in a microservices or cloud-native environment.
- Proven expertise in designing and scaling distributed systems using Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP, and serverless technologies.
- Strong programming skills in Go, Java, Python, or Node.js, with a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi).
- Passion for mentorship, with a track record of coaching engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry) and debugging techniques for distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
