Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-performance mobile applications for Google Wallet, ensuring scalability, security, and seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and implement innovative payment features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
- Optimize mobile app performance, reducing latency and improving reliability for millions of global users.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, best practices, and continuous learning within the team.
- Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data and ensure compliance with global payment regulations.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and drive architectural improvements to maintain a high-quality codebase.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum user trust.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in mobile development, payments technology, and fintech to drive innovation within Google Wallet.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development, with a strong portfolio of shipped Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift) applications.
- Deep expertise in mobile architecture patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture) and familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
- Experience with payment systems, fintech, or e-commerce applications is a plus.
- Proficiency in performance optimization, memory management, and debugging tools for mobile platforms.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
