Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications for industrial automation systems, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions.
- Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, testing, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and project teams to integrate software with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Optimize existing software for performance, scalability, and reliability in industrial environments.
- Develop and implement custom algorithms and control logic to enhance machine automation and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues in real-time, ensuring minimal downtime for production systems.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure best practices in coding, testing, and documentation.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies in industrial automation, IoT, and Industry 4.0 to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on industrial automation, embedded systems, or machine control.
- Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, or Java, with experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS) and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC UA).
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar) and HMI/SCADA development (e.g., Ignition, WinCC).
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, CANopen) and IoT integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
