Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all laboratory activities.
- Assist teachers in setting up and demonstrating scientific experiments.
- Manage inventory of chemicals, specimens, and other science resources.
- Provide technical support during lessons and extracurricular science activities.
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory usage and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the Science Department to develop innovative teaching aids.
- Train and supervise junior technicians or student assistants as needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Science Technician in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and equipment handling.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Familiarity with international science curricula (e.g., IB, Cambridge) is a plus.
- First Aid certification is desirable.
