Responsibility
- Design, develop, and customize SAP ABAP programs including reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Optimize and troubleshoot existing SAP systems to improve performance and user experience.
- Develop and maintain ABAP OOP applications, CDS views, and OData services for SAP Fiori.
- Integrate SAP systems with third-party applications using IDocs, BAPIs, and RESTful APIs.
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with CGI’s development standards.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Platform) and recommend best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development with a focus on ECC or S/4HANA.
- Proficiency in ABAP Workbench, Debugging, ALV Reports, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, SD, HR) and integration points.
- Experience with SAP HANA, CDS Views, OData, and Fiori is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control tools (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) with the ability to liaise with stakeholders.
