Responsibility
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Provide safety training and workshops for employees to ensure awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor and evaluate workplace safety performance, preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations and projects.
- Stay updated with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns from employees and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety officer role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Proficiency in preparing safety reports and documentation for management and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
