As a Senior Robotics Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in advancing our robotics platform, integrating AI, computer vision, and real-time control systems to enhance performance, scalability, and adaptability. Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize real-time control algorithms for robotic arm movements and tooling precision in tile grouting applications.
- Integrate computer vision and AI/ML models to enable autonomous navigation, surface detection, and adaptive grouting.
- Lead the development of ROS (Robot Operating System) nodes and custom software stacks for seamless robot-hardware communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine path planning, motion control, and error-handling systems for high-reliability operations.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of software in simulated and real-world environments to ensure robustness and safety.
- Optimize system performance for scalability, supporting deployments across diverse construction sites and conditions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation, best practices, and code reviews.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in robotics, AI, and automation to drive continuous innovation in our products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in robotics software development, with a focus on industrial automation or autonomous systems.
- Proficiency in C++/Python and experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with computer vision (OpenCV, PCL) and machine learning for perception and decision-making.
- Strong background in control systems, kinematics, and real-time embedded software.
- Experience with sensor fusion, SLAM, or path planning algorithms is a plus.
- Familiarity with hardware-software integration (e.g., motors, encoders, PLCs) and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
