job description
Join Mini Circuits, a global leader in RF and microwave solutions, as a Senior RF Test & Characterization Engineer in our dynamic team based in Bali, Indonesia. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge MMIC (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit) designs, developing and executing comprehensive test strategies to ensure superior RF performance.
In this role, you will design and implement RF test boards, develop robust test methodologies, and perform detailed characterization of high-frequency components. Your expertise will directly contribute to the innovation and reliability of our industry-leading products, serving aerospace, defense, telecommunications, and industrial markets.
We offer a collaborative work environment, exposure to advanced RF technologies, and the chance to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the field. If you are passionate about RF engineering, test automation, and high-frequency measurement techniques, we want to hear from you!
Responsibility
- Design, develop, and validate RF test boards and fixtures for MMIC and microwave component testing.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans, including setup, calibration, and methodology documentation.
- Perform RF characterization (S-parameters, power, noise, linearity) using advanced test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
- Develop automated test scripts (Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB) to streamline validation processes.
- Analyze test data, identify performance trends, and provide actionable insights to design teams.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to ensure testability and manufacturability of new designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve RF performance issues through systematic debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Stay updated with industry trends in RF testing and recommend process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in RF test and characterization, preferably in MMIC or microwave component testing.
- Proficiency with RF test equipment (Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes).
- Strong knowledge of RF measurement techniques (S-parameters, load-pull, noise figure, compression point).
- Experience with test automation using Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with PCB design tools (Altium, ADS, HFSS) for test fixture development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-precision testing environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional, global team.
