Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end release management process, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating software deployments across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of releases.
- Define and enforce release policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain consistency and compliance.
- Monitor and report on release progress, risks, and dependencies, proactively mitigating issues to avoid delays.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve automation, reduce manual errors, and enhance deployment speed.
- Conduct post-release reviews to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements.
- Manage stakeholder communications, providing clear updates on release status, timelines, and potential impacts.
- Ensure version control, configuration management, and documentation are maintained for all releases.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Release Management, DevOps, or Software Deployment.
- Proven expertise with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN) and artifact repositories (e.g., Nexus, JFrog).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Certifications in Release Management, DevOps, or ITIL are highly desirable.
