Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage solutions (NetApp, EMC Dell) in cloud and hybrid environments.
- Administer and optimize backup and recovery systems to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability, proactively resolving issues.
- Implement and enforce data protection policies, including encryption, access controls, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate storage solutions with virtualization, databases, and applications.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans.
- Automate storage provisioning, backup schedules, and reporting using scripting (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
- Stay updated with emerging storage technologies and recommend upgrades or migrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with NetApp, EMC Dell storage systems, or similar enterprise solutions.
- Proven expertise in backup and recovery tools (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup).
- Strong knowledge of cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage) and hybrid architectures.
- Experience with storage protocols (NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, FC) and RAID configurations.
- Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Certifications such as NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA), EMC Proven Professional, or AWS/Azure Storage are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.
