Responsibility
- Develop and review rebar shop drawings and structural plans for railway projects, ensuring compliance with international standards (AASHTO, Eurocode, or local regulations).
- Collaborate with civil engineers, architects, and contractors to optimize rebar layouts for load-bearing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct on-site inspections to verify rebar installation accuracy, dimensions, and alignment with design specifications.
- Perform structural calculations for reinforcement requirements, including shear, tension, and compression analysis.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to source high-quality rebar materials and manage inventory for project timelines.
- Implement BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools for 3D rebar modeling and clash detection.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control measures during fabrication and installation.
- Prepare technical reports, as-built documentation, and progress updates for stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rebar engineering, with a focus on railway, bridge, or heavy infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, or ETABS for rebar detailing and structural analysis.
- Strong knowledge of international design codes (e.g., ACI, BS 8110, or SNI for Indonesian standards).
- Experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, or similar collaboration platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali and work on a contract basis for project duration.
