Responsibility
- Prepare, review, and analyze cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
- Manage contractual agreements, variations, and claims to ensure project profitability
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and verify quantities of work completed
- Prepare and submit interim valuations, final accounts, and payment certificates
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian construction regulations and international best practices
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters and dispute resolution
- Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate project forecasts and cash flow projections
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a QS Engineer in the construction industry (3 years for QS Engineer position)
- Proven track record working on projects in Bali or similar tropical environments
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian construction contracts (e.g., SNI, FIDIC) and regulations
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft, or similar)
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation and communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus
