Responsibility
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, and utilities.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations.
- Oversee variation orders (VOs), claims, and subcontractor cost negotiations to optimize project financials.
- Implement robust cost control measures and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
- Prepare and finalize final accounts, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve cost-related disputes and mitigate risks.
- Monitor material procurement and labor costs, identifying opportunities for savings without compromising quality.
- Stay updated on market trends, material prices, and construction methodologies to enhance cost-efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., RICS, AIQS) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying for civil construction projects, with a focus on infrastructure or large-scale developments.
- Proficient in cost estimation software (e.g., Candy, WinQS, or Primavera) and advanced Excel for financial modeling.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, FIDIC conditions, and local construction regulations in Indonesia.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and specifications with precision.
- Proven track record in risk management and dispute resolution for construction projects.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
