Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and cost estimates for civil and building projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide financial insights to support project planning and decision-making.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cost overruns or delays.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align financial plans with technical requirements.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on tendering and cost management for civil/building projects.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., WinQS, Candy, or Primavera) and MS Excel (advanced level).
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and industry standards (e.g., FIDIC, JCT).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills in English.
- Experience working in Southeast Asia or international markets is a plus.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, CIOB) is advantageous.
