Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Design and implement automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress) to improve testing efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure alignment on quality standards.
- Perform regression, performance, and usability testing to validate software functionality.
- Analyze test results and provide actionable insights to enhance product quality.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging QA tools/technologies.
- Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Postman, JMeter).
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) for scripting and automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test-driven development (TDD).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- ISTQB or other QA certifications are a plus.
