Responsibility
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary ML team, fostering collaboration between data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders.
- Model Development & Deployment: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of ML models, from prototyping to production, ensuring scalability, reliability, and business alignment.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Define and execute the ML strategy, prioritizing high-impact projects that align with organizational goals.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and refine model performance using A/B testing, drift detection, and continuous evaluation metrics.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to translate ML solutions into tangible outcomes.
- Innovation & Research: Stay ahead of industry trends (e.g., LLMs, generative AI) and pilot cutting-edge techniques to maintain a competitive edge.
- Data Governance: Ensure ethical AI practices, including bias mitigation, data privacy, and compliance with global standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present complex ML concepts to non-technical audiences, securing buy-in for AI initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 5+ years in applied machine learning, with 2+ years in a managerial or lead role.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, SQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Production ML: Hands-on experience deploying models in production (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, MLflow).
- Business Acumen: Ability to align ML projects with KPIs, ROI, and strategic objectives.
- Leadership Skills: Track record of building and scaling high-performing data teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with a focus on pragmatic, scalable solutions.
- Education: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Communication: Fluent English with exceptional storytelling and presentation skills.
