Responsibility
- Act as the primary Tier 2/3 escalation contact for complex incidents, service outages, and performance issues reported by Service Desk, IT teams, and MSP partners.
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) with a focus on high availability, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Automate repetitive tasks and workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system health, analyze logs, and proactively identify potential risks using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and operation of applications.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, including IAM policies, network segmentation, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Optimize database performance, storage solutions, and backup/recovery procedures for critical systems.
- Document technical processes, runbooks, and post-mortem analyses to improve team knowledge and incident response times.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Expertise in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) with certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) being a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Splunk).
- Deep knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, load balancing, firewalls) and Linux/Windows server administration.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to debug complex, distributed systems under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
