Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using industry-standard tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla) and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on quality benchmarks.
- Automate repetitive test cases using frameworks like Selenium, Appium, or Postman to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to verify system stability and compatibility across environments.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, providing guidance on best practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Analyze test results, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders with actionable insights.
- Stay updated with emerging QA trends, tools, and industry standards to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven expertise in manual and automated testing for web, mobile, or API-based applications.
- Strong proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with performance testing, security testing, and accessibility standards is a plus.
- ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications are highly desirable.
