Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive geological surveys, mapping, and core logging to assess mineral deposits and structural formations.
- Analyze and interpret geological data using advanced software (e.g., Micromine, Surpac, Leapfrog) to model ore bodies and optimize extraction strategies.
- Develop and implement exploration programs, including drill hole planning, sampling, and quality assurance protocols.
- Collaborate with mining engineers to design pit layouts, bench heights, and slope stability assessments for safe and efficient operations.
- Monitor and report on production metrics, grade control, and resource estimates to ensure alignment with project targets.
- Ensure compliance with local and international mining regulations, environmental standards, and health/safety protocols.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior geologists and field technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Mining Engineering (Masterâs preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mine geology, with a focus on open-pit or underground operations.
- Proven expertise in geological modeling, resource estimation (JORC/NI 43-101), and drill core interpretation.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Micromine, Surpac, Leapfrog, AutoCAD, or Vulcan).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with the ability to work in remote or challenging environments.
- Familiarity with Indonesian mining regulations and environmental compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and travel to field sites as required.
