Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end design process for sustainable packaging, from conceptualization to final production, ensuring alignment with brand identity and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and supply chain teams to develop packaging that enhances user experience, functionality, and shelf appeal.
- Research and integrate cutting-edge eco-friendly materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and carbon footprint.
- Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Conduct thorough testing and iterations to ensure packaging meets durability, safety, and cost-efficiency requirements.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory compliance to inform design decisions.
- Present design concepts and progress to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine final products.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of creativity, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Packaging Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product/packaging design, with a portfolio showcasing sustainable or eco-friendly projects.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and cost-effective production methods.
- Experience working with biodegradable, recyclable, or compostable materials is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
