Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end product design process, from concept ideation to final prototypes and production-ready specifications.
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs align with brand identity, technical feasibility, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify opportunities for innovative and competitive product designs.
- Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings using industry-standard tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Develop and maintain design guidelines, material libraries, and finish specifications to ensure consistency across product lines.
- Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine and improve designs.
- Stay updated on emerging materials, technologies, and sustainability practices in furniture design.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance to foster a culture of creativity and excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in product design, preferably in the furniture or home decor industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects, from conceptual sketches to finished products.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Deep understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics in furniture design.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
- Experience working in an international or multicultural environment is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, functional designs.
