Responsibility

  • Lead the development and optimization of terminal stamping processes to ensure high precision, repeatability, and cost efficiency.
  • Spearhead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, from prototyping to mass production, ensuring seamless transitions and adherence to quality standards.
  • Design, test, and refine stamping dies and tooling to improve performance, durability, and cycle times.
  • Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to resolve technical challenges and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans, to ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards.
  • Analyze process data (e.g., SPC, DOE) to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for yield enhancement.
  • Train and mentor production teams on best practices for stamping operations, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., automation, Industry 4.0 tools) to future-proof manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in stamping process engineering, preferably in connector or precision metal component manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in die design, tooling, and press operations (progressive, transfer, or fine-blanking).
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgy, material properties (e.g., copper alloys, stainless steel), and surface treatments.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and simulation tools (e.g., AutoForm, Pam-Stamp).
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why).
  • Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and regulatory requirements for automotive/electronics industries.
  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional communication skills.
