Responsibility
- Develop and optimize stamping processes for terminal and contact production to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Validate new processes through rigorous testing, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Balance press speed, tooling longevity, and material utilization to maximize productivity without compromising quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality Assurance, Production) to implement process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve stamping-related defects using root-cause analysis (e.g., Six Sigma, 8D methodology).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing) to streamline operations.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices in stamping technology.
- Document and maintain process control plans, work instructions, and technical reports for audits and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Masterâs preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in stamping process engineering, preferably in electronics or automotive manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in tool/die design, press setup, and process validation (e.g., DOE, FMEA).
- Strong knowledge of metal forming, material science, and precision stamping techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP).
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt) or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment with adherence to safety and quality protocols.
