Responsibility
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to enhance semiconductor manufacturing efficiency, reduce defects, and improve yield rates.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize statistical tools (e.g., SPC, DOE) to analyze process performance and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Troubleshooting: Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for process deviations, equipment failures, or quality issues, and propose corrective actions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, production, and quality teams to align process improvements with product specifications and business goals.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and maintain accurate process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Equipment & Tooling: Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and upgrade of semiconductor fabrication equipment (e.g., CVD, PVD, etching systems).
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Identify opportunities to minimize waste, energy consumption, and material costs without compromising quality.
- Training & Mentorship: Train operators and junior engineers on best practices, safety protocols, and new process technologies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in semiconductor process engineering, with hands-on experience in fabrication, wafer processing, or packaging.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SPC, DOE, FMEA, and process simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL, MATLAB). Familiarity with cleanroom protocols is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes (e.g., lithography, deposition, etching) and quality standards.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills to collaborate with global teams and present technical findings.
- Certifications: Preferred: Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), Lean Manufacturing, or ISO auditor certifications.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment with occasional travel to regional sites.
