This is a unique opportunity to work in Bali’s thriving tech hub (Badung region) while contributing to cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing processes.
In this role, you will drive process optimization, troubleshoot complex technical challenges, and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance yield, efficiency, and product quality. You’ll collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to develop and refine advanced packaging solutions, ensuring UTAC remains at the forefront of semiconductor innovation.
Ideal for engineers with a passion for precision, problem-solving, and continuous improvement, this position offers a dynamic work environment, exposure to state-of-the-art equipment, and the chance to impact high-volume manufacturing processes.
Responsibility
- Lead process troubleshooting for PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), Descum, and Lithography operations to resolve yield and quality issues.
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize semiconductor packaging processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to validate process changes and implement data-driven improvements.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and process specifications.
- Train and mentor production teams on new processes, equipment, and best practices to ensure consistent execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Maintenance) to align process capabilities with product requirements.
- Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as cycle time, defect rates, and equipment uptime, and propose corrective actions.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by assessing feasibility, developing process flows, and conducting risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, with expertise in PVD, Descum, or Lithography.
- Hands-on experience with process characterization, troubleshooting, and optimization in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab) and DOE methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor materials, thin-film deposition, and photolithography principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate across departments and with global teams.
