Responsibility
- Lead and oversee high-impact defence R&D projects focused on human performance, cognitive science, and operational safety.
- Develop and implement innovative research methodologies to address complex challenges in human factors, ergonomics, and resilience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, psychologists, and data scientists, to integrate human science insights into defence technologies.
- Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences.
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD students, fostering a culture of scientific excellence and innovation.
- Secure external funding through grant proposals and partnerships with defence agencies, industry leaders, and academic institutions.
- Translate research outcomes into practical applications for military, humanitarian, and commercial sectors.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in human science, AI, and defence technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- PhD in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field with at least 10 years of post-doctoral experience in research leadership.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale R&D projects, preferably in defence, aerospace, or high-stakes environments.
- Expertise in experimental design, statistical analysis, and human performance modeling.
- Strong publication record in top-tier journals and a history of securing competitive research grants.
- Experience collaborating with defence organizations, government agencies, or industry partners on applied research.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge academic and operational domains.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as wearables, VR/AR, or AI-driven human augmentation is a plus.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and travel as needed for fieldwork or collaborations.
