Responsibility
- Lead the formulation, testing, and optimization of paint and coating products to meet industry and client specifications.
- Conduct rigorous quality control tests to ensure consistency, durability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and R&D, to enhance product performance and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for chemical processes and laboratory safety protocols.
- Analyze raw materials and finished products using advanced analytical techniques (e.g., spectroscopy, chromatography).
- Troubleshoot production issues and propose corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices in paint and coatings.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science with a focus on coatings or polymers.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in paint/coatings formulation, quality assurance, or R&D within the chemical industry.
- Strong knowledge of resins, pigments, solvents, and additives used in paint and coating systems.
- Proficiency in laboratory instruments (e.g., viscometers, colorimeters, rheometers) and analytical software.
- Experience with ISO, ASTM, or other international standards for paint and coatings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations in chemical manufacturing.
