Responsibility
- Review and prepare design files for print production, ensuring compliance with prepress standards and specifications.
- Perform color management, image resolution checks, and file format conversions to optimize print quality.
- Collaborate with designers and clients to resolve any prepress issues and ensure files are print-ready.
- Operate and maintain prepress software and equipment, including Adobe Creative Suite and RIP software.
- Conduct quality control checks on proofs and press sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to file preparation, color matching, and print output.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in prepress technologies and techniques.
- Document and maintain prepress workflows and best practices for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in prepress design or a similar role within the printing industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and prepress software.
- Strong understanding of color management, file formats, and print production processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with large-format printing or packaging prepress is a plus.
