We are seeking a Senior PLC Programmer to design, develop, and optimize programmable logic controller (PLC) systems for high-impact automation projects across manufacturing, energy, and smart infrastructure sectors.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver robust, scalable PLC solutions using ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams. Responsibility
- Design, develop, and test PLC programs using ladder logic (LAD), structured text (ST), and function block diagrams (FBD) for industrial control systems.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate PLCs with SCADA, HMI, and MES systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing PLC code to improve system performance, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
- Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) to validate system functionality.
- Stay updated with industry standards (IEC 61131-3, ISA, etc.) and emerging automation technologies.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for commissioning, maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in automation workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming for industrial applications (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or Mitsubishi platforms).
- Proficiency in IEC 61131-3 programming languages (LAD, ST, FBD, SFC) and tools like TIA Portal, Studio 5000, or CODESYS.
- Experience with SCADA systems (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, FactoryTalk) and HMI development.
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
- Familiarity with motion control, PID tuning, and safety-rated PLCs (e.g., TÜV-certified systems).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
