Responsibility
- Design, develop, and test PLC programs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Mitsubishi) using ladder diagram (LD) and structured text (ST) for industrial automation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define control system requirements and integrate PLCs with sensors, actuators, and HMI panels.
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing PLC systems to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety in manufacturing or process automation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, user manuals, and system specifications.
- Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) to ensure system performance meets client expectations.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in Industry 4.0, IoT, and smart manufacturing to propose innovative solutions.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for commissioning, maintenance, and system upgrades.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians to foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in PLC programming (e.g., S7-1200, S7-1500, Rockwell Studio 5000, or CODESYS).
- Proficiency in ladder logic (LD), structured text (ST), and function block diagrams (FBD).
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., WinCC, Ignition, or FactoryTalk View) and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and implement effective solutions.
- Familiarity with motion control, servo systems, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) to liaise with international clients and teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project installations and client meetings across Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
